FAQ
Can we use SDU's facilities regardless of our size?
Yes. The facilities can be used by sole proprietorships, large corporations, and everything in between.
How do we know whether you can solve the task?
We can help with a great deal, and if you are unsure whether we can help your company, please contact us. The task does not have to be research, and you do not need to know which equipment is right. Simply describe your problem, and we will help you find the right equipment.
The initial clarification is free of charge and without obligation.
We can prepare different offers with fixed price or based on actual usage of equipment and consulting hours, according to the customers’ needs and wishes.
You will get an offer for the required equipment quickly. Our ambition is to meet your schedule for measurements or consulting in the most convenient way, depending on the availability of the single equipment or lab.
Who owns the results, and will our idea be made public?
The results are yours. We do not use anything from your assignment in publications or marketing without your consent, and we are happy to sign a confidentiality agreement first.
Only if the assignment develops into a joint research project do we agree the rights separately.
Can we run the tests ourselves, and can we get help along the way?
As a general rule, yes to both. You book a slot, receive training and safety instructions (typically half a day), and then work independently, but our staff can also assist during start-up, carry out the measurements for you, or help you understand the results if you wish.
Some facilities may require that a scientific staff member from SDU is present, but this will always be clarified before the collaboration begins.
Perhaps you know what you are looking for. Or maybe you are unsure about the possibilities or just curious?
No matter where you start, we will help you move forward - for example, by finding the right researcher, department, or entry point into SDU. We also provide guidance on legal matters, finances, and the practical framework for collaboration.
