Submitting your thesis

This information comes from the SDU webpage

At least two months before the submission of the PhD thesis, the PhD student and their main supervisor complete an online pre-submission form, including:

  • A summary of the thesis (maximum 2 pages)
  • Suggested names for the assessment committee

The main submission process has the following steps:

  • The PhD student uploads the final version of the PhD thesis into Pure together with the relevant attachments
  • The SDU Library checks the thesis for plagiarism
  • After any plagiarism issues are resolved, the SDU Library submits the thesis to the Graduate School of Health Sciences
  • The thesis is sent to the assessment committee
  • The SDU Library makes the PhD thesis publicly accessible in an online version on the Research Portal via Pure.

The required attachments includes a Declaration of Co-authorship that explains the extent of the PhD student’s own contribution to the articles in the thesis.
