Managing personal information and rights
In relation to the research project “Who Owns Nature?” SDU wish to record interviews with the particpants involved. All collected data is categorised as personal information according to Danish rules of data protection. The data collected will thus be managed according to data protection legislation article 6, stk. 1, litra a, which is about consent. It is voluntary to participate in the studies connected to this research project and to be recorded. University of Southern Denmark is responsible for the protection of all collected data.
The information processed is:
- Contact information
- Demographic data and information about the participants
- Statements during interviews

How we use the data
SDU wishes to use the collected data for research. All analysis and quotes will be anonymised before publication.
Safekeeping and deletion of data
SDU will delete contact information, information, recordings, and visuals, when it is no longer relevant to store the data. Personal information will be deleted at the latest five years after the end of the research project or earlier if it is no longer relevant. If a participant wishes to delete their personal information, it can be done by withdrawing consent.
Please notice, that:
- consent can be withdrawn at any time, and that SDU is obligated to delete all data on and from the participant
- participants have a right to see the data collected about them
- participants have a right to correct or delete data
- if participants wish to complain to Datatilsynet, they can do so via www.datatilsynet.dk.
