The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. It is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. In Denmark, the Fulbright program is carried out by the Danish-American Fulbright Commission, and the work is based on a binational agreement and funded by both the Danish and U.S. government. Danes on Fulbright grants always comment on how highly regarded the Fulbright Program is in the States, and how being a Fulbright grantee really opened doors and added a lot of prestige to their projects and CVS.
