We provide equipment for a range of projects, including non-antibody related research:

Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR)

Real-time, label-free analysis of molecular interactions. It is widely used for studying kinetics, affinity, and specificity of biomolecular interactions, making it ideal for applications in drug discovery, protein interactions, and more.

  • Equipment: Biacore T200 (Cytiva)

Grating Coupled Interferometry (GCI)

Highly sensitive, label-free optical technique used to study molecular interactions in real time. The design of the instrument enables studies in biological fluids. Providing detailed information on binding kinetics, affinity, and specificity. Rapid turnover enables screening of monoclonal antibodies. GCI is commonly used in drug discovery, protein research, and other biochemical applications.

  • Equipment: Creoptix WAVEdelta (Malvern Panalytical)

Biolayer Interferometry (BLI)

Label-free technique that measures the binding of biomolecules to a sensor surface in real time. Providing precise information on the kinetics, affinity, and concentration of the interaction. BLI is widely used for studying protein-protein interactions, antibody characterization, binning, and other molecular analyses.

  • Equipment: Octet RED96e, Sartorius

Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)

A technique used to measure the size distribution of nanoparticles or macromolecules in suspension providing information on particle size, polydispersity, and stability, making it an essential tool for characterizing proteins, nanoparticles, and other colloidal systems.

  • Equipment: Zetasizer Advance Ultra (Red)

Automated Capillary Western Blotting

An automated western blotting system in a microfluidic format. It offers fast, high-throughput protein analysis with minimal sample volume, providing accurate, quantitative results for protein expression and modifications in less time than traditional methods enabling high-throughput screening of hybridomas.

  • Equipment: Jess, ProteinSimple, Biotechne

Cyto-Mine

Cyto-Mine® is an automated single-cell analysis platform that leverages picodroplet technology to encapsulate individual cells. This approach enables high-throughput screening and rapid identification of high-producing clones in antibody discovery and cell line development. The system automates cell encapsulation, incubation, imaging, and dispensing, ensuring monoclonality and protecting cell viability throughout the process.

Equipment: Cyto-Mine (Sphere Bio)

Luminex

Luminex is a multiplexed immunoassay platform that allows for the simultaneous detection of multiple biomarkers in a single sample. Luminex technology is widely used in research, diagnostics, and drug development for its speed, sensitivity, and ability to analyze complex samples.

Equipment: Bio-plex200 (Bio-Rad)

Partners

In addition to the equipment at the MADE core we also have access to testing and screening antibodies at other core facilities at SDU, for instance the DaMBIC imaging facility and not least by being closely integrated with the state-of-the-art FACS core facility at IMM DCCA.
Using equipment at the DCCA FACS core enables functional sorting of plasma and B cell but also enables us to screen antibodies for binding to cell surface antigens (receptors).
