Drawing on the place of STEM within the educational landscape, from international trends to national and local perspectives, the webinar addresses an area where knowledge is still limited: how a sustainable STEM culture can be developed and embedded in practice.
Maria Møller, Associate Professor at UCN, will present STEM’s position within the educational landscape at the international, national, and local levels.
Mads Bruun Birk, teacher at Klostermarkskolen in Aalborg, will deliver a case-based presentation on how a STEM culture can be developed in a primary and lower secondary school setting. Through the Klostermarkskolen case, participants will gain insights into the initiatives, successes, and challenges that have shaped the school's journey towards establishing a strong STEM profile.
At NiSE webinars, Danish science education researchers meet to further develop the science education knowledge ecology.
It is about ensuring that everyone both receives knowledge and contributes knowledge and experiences within the pedagogical and scientific work of science education.
The NiSE webinars are organized by the STEM Education Research Center – FNUG and the Center of Excellence in Science Education/Naturfagsakademiet (CESE/NAFA). NiSE is the name of the network: Network in STEM Education.
