PhD Course on ‘The Economics of Marine Resources ’ January 2011
PhD Course on: ‘The Economics of Marine Resources’ will be held in Esbjerg, Denmark, 24-28 January 2011. Guest lecturers: John Tschirhart, University of Wyoming, Dale Squires, NOAA and UC San Diego and Niels Vestergaard, University of Southern Denmark. The primary aim of the course is on Ecological-Economic Modeling of the Marine Environment - Models and Management. The course is closed for enrollment, because of an overwhelming demand.  

Hans Ellefsen is visiting University of California San Diego and NOAA
Hans is currently visiting UCSD and NOAA in San Diego. He will stay there for one year. Hans is connected to the Center of Environmental Economics at the Department of Economics at UCSD lead by Professor Ted Groves. At NOAA, Hans has an office space in the group of Dale Squires. PhD Course in Helsinki was a success
Together with University of Helsinki FAME organized a Ph.D Course on: “Strategic behaviour in fisheries: Application of coalition games” in September 2010. Lecturers were; Marko Lindroos, University of Helsinki, Pedro Pintassilgo, University of Algarve, Lone Grønbæk Kronbak, University of Southern Denmark and Veijo Kaitala, University of Helsinki. FAME turns 10 years old in 2011
The workshop “Property Rights and Institutional Changes” in September 2001 was the first activity in FAME. Time passes! We will of cause celebrate this. You will hear more in due time.
