Geopolitics is back, and the Baltic Sea is once again dominated by great power rivalry. On Bornholm, in the centre of the strategically important and dangerous Baltic Sea, we will discuss the special conditions that make the Baltic Sea a geopolitical battle zone. Where has the battle for the Baltic Sea been over the past 200 years in art and great power politics, and what can we look forward to today?
