I knew from the start that I wanted an international career

An international outlook drew Stephanie Brøndum Pedersen to the Negot degree programme. Today, she puts her broad skill set to use as a Product & Pricing Manager at Orifarm, where she works with pricing in a market that requires both analysis and collaboration.

“I think I had already given some thought to what I wanted to work with even before starting my studies. I knew I wanted an international career, and that I was interested in language, culture and marketing. It was the global perspective and the combination of humanities and social sciences that attracted me to the Negot degree programme.

Today, I work as a Product & Pricing Manager at the pharmaceutical company Orifarm, where I am responsible for a portfolio of around 300 medicines on the Danish market. A large part of my job involves managing, maintaining and developing the portfolio. This includes working with pricing, forecasting and business cases, as well as ongoing analysis of market data.

An important part of my work is collaborating with others. I don’t make decisions on my own, but rely on close dialogue with internal colleagues and external partners. That’s why communication and stakeholder management play a major role in my day-to-day work, and it’s where I clearly draw on the skills I gained during my studies.

Communication and stakeholder management play a major role in my day-to-day work, and it’s where I clearly draw on the skills I gained during my studies.

The Negot programme has taught me to think holistically. I rarely make decisions based on a single factor; instead, I always look at things in a broader context. The economics part of the programme has given me an understanding of market mechanisms and working with data, while communication and cultural perspectives have prepared me to collaborate across functions and countries.

What motivates me most is the interplay between analyses, decision-making, and people. At the same time, it makes sense to me to work in an industry where decisions matter beyond the bottom line. Parallel import helps create competition and make medicines more accessible to patients, and that makes my work meaningful.”
