Student testimonials

Josip Kisics’s became interested in physics during his final year of upper secondary school.

- To me a future with exciting career opportunities is very important – that is why I chose to study Physics and Technology. I was curious about nanotechnology and liked the idea of combining acoustics and optics.

- Through project work I have seen how theory can be applied. I like the fact that that physics can explain all sorts of everyday phenomena. I never thought about that before I started my university studies, says Josip.

Technology of the future
- What’s exciting about for example nanotechnology is that you work on something that is so small and can be use for so many different things. I believe that nanotechnology will be a significant part of the products of the future.

- Among other things, there are talks about mini-robots which in the future will be able to help people who suffer from indigestion because the nanorobots can act as a kind of tapeworm. There are a lot of these somewhat wild examples of how nanotechnology can be used in the future, he says.

A job filled with travelling and experiences
- My job must be versatile and outgoing. I am looking for opportunities to work in different fields and with varying work tasks.
- It is my dream to travel and experience a lot of things as part of my job while I am young and to, for example, concentrate on research work later on, says Josip.
