What characterises an IM employment?

An IM student works 25 hours a week with your company spread across three full days. This means the student is present as a genuine colleague who can take on tasks with depth and continuity. The three full days provide ample time to understand complex issues and see them through to completion, rather than turning up for just a few hours here and there.

The collaboration is organised jointly: you agree on tasks and salary directly with the student based on your needs and the student’s academic profile. This provides flexibility to make adjustments along the way and ensures that both parties get the most out of the arrangement.

In the third year, the student can anchor their master’s thesis in a real challenge within your company. This gives you SDU’s research expertise directly connected to your business and a final project with concrete relevance for both parties.

And when the student graduates as an MSc in Engineering, the path to permanent employment is short. After two years in the company, they already know your systems, culture and colleagues. The onboarding time is effectively over, and you are hiring someone who already knows how you work.
