SDU Center for Supply Chain Digitalisation
At the Faculty of Engineering at SDU, the Center for Supply Chain Digitalisation (CSD) conducts research at the intersection of supply chain management, data science, and digital technologies. Our work applies quantitative, data-driven methods to analyse, design, and optimise complex supply chains.
In close collaboration with industry partners, the center focuses on the full data journey across the supply chain, developing tools and methods based on advanced analytics, simulation, and artificial intelligence to enable stronger coordination, end-to-end transparency, and more sustainable and efficient supply chain operations.
Key strengths
- Integrating resilience, sustainability, and performance in quantitative supply chain models
- Simulation of operations, networks, and planning decisions under uncertainty
- Machine learning and AI for predictive and prescriptive supply chain analytics
- End-to-end data integration and governance across supply chains
- Risk-aware modelling for sustainable supply chain due diligence
Unique differentiators
- Long track record in supply chain modeling, analysis, and optimization
- Commissioned research for global industry leaders delivering reported savings exceeding 50M DKK
- State-of-the-art equipment and software for supply chain simulation
Relevance for partners
Our expertise helps partners improve supply chain performance, visibility, and resilience. We work closely with industry to adapt solutions to specific needs, whether building quantitative models to support better decisions or turning data-driven optimisation, simulation, and digital tools into practical use in operations. Partners benefit from access to leading research expertise, modern methods, and a collaborative environment focused on real, measurable impact.
