
PhD Student: Dinesh Baniya Kshatri
Dinesh joins SDU as a PhD student, focusing on drone-based autonomous inspection of powerlines using neuromorphic and brain-inspired computing.
We are thrilled to welcome Dinesh Baniya Kshatri to our team!
Dinesh brings extensive academic and professional experience, including a Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Master's in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
He has served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Pulchowk Campus, Assistant Director at the Nepal Telecommunications Authority, and is currently a Tenured Assistant Professor at Thapathali Campus. At SDU, Dinesh is pursuing a PhD under the supervision of Emad Samuel Malki Ebeid, focusing on the use of miniature drones for autonomous inspection of high-voltage powerlines, integrating neuromorphic systems and brain-inspired computing algorithms.
