IRS - Research Unit of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (Slagelse) - PROgrez

Collaboration

The research unit is anchored at IRS Næstved, Slagelse, Ringsted Hospitals and is part of Department of Regional Health Research (IRS) under the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southern Denmark

PROgrez maintains close collaboration with a wide network of municipalities, hospitals, other national and international research institutions, and general practice.

The unit also engages in a tight partnership with Region Zealand on various evaluation and implementation initiatives, including the evaluation of 'Direct access to subsidized physiotherapy without a referral' and the implementation of preventative interventions for individuals with claudicatio intermittens and patients with osteoarthritis.

Furthermore, PROgrez collaborates with patient organizations and civil society associations, notably the Danish Association of Rheumatism (Gigtforeningen), the Danish Sports and Gymnastics Association (DGI), and the Forum for Men's Health regarding nature-based exercise initiatives.

Collaboration with Department of Regional Health Research

IRS can be seen as a network consisting of nearly 300 researchers in over 50 research units, each with its own research leader. The research units are anchored at 12 hospitals in the Region Zealand, Region of Southern Denmark, and Capital Region of Denmark.
