Energy Asset Intelligence Lab

The Energy Asset Intelligence Lab provides an experimental platform for studying predictive operation and maintenance (O&M) and intelligent asset management in energy infrastructure systems. The lab focuses on how digital technologies, data analytics, and artificial intelligence can support the reliable and cost-effective operation of critical energy infrastructure and assets such as power transformers, district heating pumps, underground cables and pipes, electrical distribution grids, and district heating networks.

Through the analysis of operational data and infrastructure models, the lab investigates how early signs of degradation and failure can be detected, how asset lifetimes can be estimated, and how operation and maintenance strategies can be optimized. By combining engineering knowledge with data-driven analytics, the lab supports the development of digital solutions that improve reliability, reduce operational risks, and strengthen the resilience of energy infrastructure systems.
