Three new PhD students at Center for Energy Informatics

The new PhD students will join Center for Energy Informatics on September 1st.

 

Jakob Hviid:
Jakob will be working on the FlexReStore project.
The focus of the FlexReStoreproject is to seek the potential and design solutions for implementing Smart Grid technology in the retail sector. By doing so the retail stores contribute to the stability of the electrical grid as more and more renewable energy is introduced into the system. Read more about FlexReStore.

Jacob obtained a MSc in Software Enegineering from Univserity of Southern Denmark this summer.
Associate Professor Mikkel Baun Kjærgaard will be his main supervisor.

Pablo Barrios:
Pablo will join Center for Energy Informatics as part of a collaboration agreement with The State University of Campunas (Unicamp) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Pablo is already one year in to his study of Fault tolerant portfolio optimization in Smart Grid. So far Pablo has conducted his studies in Brazil and he will be returning to finish his studies there after a year at SDU.
Professor, Head of Center Bo Nørregaard Jørgensen is the supervisor of Pablos PhD in collaboration with Luiz C P da Silva, professor at University of Campinas.

Peter Nellemann:
Peter has already been connected to the Center for Energy Informatics for the past year as an Industrial PhD student, but from September 1st he will be employeed as a PhD at the center. Peter will continue his work on the COORDICY project and his PhD project Building Intelligence Software. The COORDICY project is a strategic DK-US interdisciplinary research project for advancing ICT-driven research and innovation in energy efficiency of public and commercial buildings.
