Modeling and Control of Energy Systems

Abstract of the speak:

Modeling and control have a proud history of success over the years. A lot of methods within these fields have been developed. These methods have been widely used by generations of engineers to solve challenging problems with huge impact on today's society.  In this talk the focus will be on problems related to energy systems.  I will open up my talk with few examples showing that there are a lot of interesting and outstanding modeling and control problems related to energy systems.  These problems have received a lot of attention over the last few years.  As a member of teaching and research community within modeling and control, I have addressed these problems in my research and teaching activities. I will proceed by describing these activities in brief.  I will conclude my talk by presenting a short activity plan for the future.
