Successful company Mission Denmark – Southern Germany on Smart Grid

On the 27th October 2013 a delegation of 16 Danish Companies and institutions left for Munich in Germany on a two-day Company Mission tour focusing on Smart Grid and RE.
In Munich the Danish delegation was jointed by a German deltagtion af 21 Companies and institutions.

Day one of the tour started of with introductions of Centre for Smart Energy Solutions, The Danish Technological Institute and VE-Net who also arranged the tour.
Later the delegations were presented with an overview of the German and Danish Smart Grid areas by the German Utility Lechwerke Verteilnetz GmbH, BAUM Consult and The Danish ICT and Electronics Federation.

Day one also offered a visit to the Siemens headquarters in Munich where both the Danish and German delegations joins. Henning Larsen Architects and Siemens Real Estate presented Siemens new headquarter - presently under construction. The delegation was also presented with an insight into Siemens Smart Grid Technologies and Activities.

Day one was also spend networking between the Danish and German participants with short pitching speeches from all participants followed by one on one meetings.

On day two of the tour both German and Danish participants visited Lechwerke AG in Augsburg where their Smarty Grid project was presented. Later on the delegation continued to the project site, where they could learn more about the project.

Is was a productive two days, where both German and Danish participants learned more about each other and what is going on in the Smart Grid area in the two countries. A successful tour - and there are already talk about a revisit in Denmark in the spring.
