Frederik Tibert Larsen received his PhD degree in veterinary immunology in 2020 from Aarhus University, Denmark. He studied innate immune cell targeting using carbohydrate-based adjuvants to enhance the efficacy of vaccines against avian corona virus. Frederik used an in silico comparative genomics approach and RNA-seq to identify and annotate potential innate immune receptors for targeting and bone marrow-derived dendritic cells for in vitro functional studies using molecular biology techniques and flow cytometry.
He will be joining Kim Ravnskjær's research group as a postdoc in October 2020 on the ATLAS project. Here Frederik will be working with single cell transcriptomics and spatial transcriptomics to study hepatic tissue plasticity.
