Life as a Computer Science student
As a master’s student, you’ll already be familiar with the daily life and routines of being a student, but you will still encounter new demands and new challenges.
The MSc programme in Computer Science gives you a great deal of freedom to plan your study time, but being a student is a full-time job. Even if not every hour of your weekly timetable is allocated to classes, you should expect to spend at least as many hours on self-study and preparation.
Societies and events
Computer Science students at the University of Southern Denmark are automatically members of the IMADA Student Council – a student association for everyone enrolled in degree programmes linked to the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
The council provides opportunities to connect across programmes, year groups and interests, helping students get to know one another and form study groups – often meeting in the common room affectionately known as “the Sauna”.
