How to apply for an Erhvervskandiat programme

You must fill out your application in our online application portal DANS. You can apply for up to three programmes at SDU. 

Mandatory enclosures

  • Diploma from your Bachelor’s degree, including a transcript of records with names of all courses, grades and credits
  • If you have not yet passed your degree: Your newest official transcript of passed as well as registered courses
  • Proof of any supplementary courses you might have passed
  • Proof that you fulfill the language requirements of the programme
  • Solemn declaration
  • Statement regarding occupation

If you are self-employed, you must also upload:

  • Documentation for your company’s revenue in the form of either annual accounts or a transcript from your accounting system

If you are an entrepreneur, you must also upload:

  • Business plan (e.g., from virksomhedsguiden.dk, or similar)
  • Documentation for your company’s revenue in the form of either annual accounts or a transcript from your accounting system or a confirmation of your affiliation with a public or private entrepreneurial milieu

For some programmes, you may also be asked to upload:

  • Resumé/CV
  • Statement of academic interest
  • Course descriptions for each of the courses on your Bachelor's programme

If you have a current residence permit you must also upload a scan of both sides of the residence card.

Translated enclosures

We receive enclosures in the following languages: Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, and English. If you hold a relevant document in another language, you must upload the original document along with an official translation or a translation which is signed and stamped by your home university.

May 15th Deadline for non-EU/EEA applicants to submit Bachelor's diploma.

Deadline for submitting proof of English language proficiency

June 10th We will answer your application no later than this date

June 15th Deadline for accepting your study place in the application portal

August 1st Deadline for submitting statement of occupation for applicants employed in a private or public company. 

Please note, that self-employed and entrepreneurs must have submitted the statement of occupation at the time of application.

July 1st Application portal opens

September 1st Application deadline for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens without a Danish residence permit

October 15th Application deadline for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and applicants with a Danish residence permit

October 15th and onwards You will receive a message in the application portal if any documentation is missing in your application

November 7th Deadline for adding any missing documentation

December 1st Deadline for non-EU/EEA applicants to submit Bachelor's diploma.

      Deadline for submitting proof of English language proficiency

December 10th We will answer your application no later than this date

December 15th Deadline for accepting your study place in the application portal

January 1st Deadline for submitting statement of occupation for applicants employed in a private or public company

Please note, that self-employed and entrepreneurs must have submitted the statement of occupation at the time of application.

If you are a citizen from outside EU/EEA or Switzerland, you are required to pay an application fee of 100 EUR when applying for a Master’s programme. Once you submit your application, we will as soon as possible contact you via the application portal with relevant information about the payment.

Please note that you are exempted from paying if you:

  • Hold a permanent residence permit Hold a temporary residence permit "with a view to/possibility of" being granted permanent residence in Denmark. Your permit must state: "mhp. varigt ophold" or "mmf. varigt ophold"
  • Hold a residence permit pursuant to section 9m of the Danish Aliens Act as child of a parent who holds a residence permit pursuant to section 9a of the same act
  • Hold a permanent residence permit or a temporary permit "with a view to/possibility of" being granted permanent residence in one of the other Nordic countries (i.e. Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland)
  • Hold a residence permit because of family reunification
  • Hold a Danish Bachelor’s degree or Professional Bachelor’s degree (180/240 ECTS, e.g. AP + PBA) This will not necessarily exempt you from paying a tuition fee.
