Do you want to help lead the companies of the future and ensure that products are manufactured in the most efficient, sustainable, and profitable way? Do you want to make Danish workplaces the best in the world? Then a BEng in Manufacturing Engineering and Management might be something for you.

In an interconnected world where individual products can consist of parts produced all over the world, there is a need for engineers who can develop, manage, and optimise the flow of information and resources. Manufacturing and Management engineers facilitates this but also ensures that the interaction between technology and people works efficiently when work tasks are digitised or automated. As a Manufacturing and Management engineer, you can work with all types of products from LEGO-bricks to medicine and food, but you will also be able to work with services in e.g., banks, hospitals, municipalities, IT companies etc.

What will I learn?

With a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management, you will gain skills that enable you to lead the dimensioning, development and optimisation of workplaces and production facilities. You will work with strategy development, employee management, design of new production systems, sustainable production, choice of technology, organisation of employees, quality management, finance, administrative systems to manufacture products, and much more.

In the programme, you will, among other things, work with, logistics, strategy, planning, finance, technology, work environment, optimisation, innovation, SDG-goals, change management and much more.

How is the programme structured?

During the programme, you will be accustomed to working in project groups, where you and your fellow students will solve problems for companies through case-based work.

Each semester has a main theme, which will be the foundation for the semester's theory and project work. In the first year of your programme, the focus is on sustainable production. In your second year, there is a focus on company analysis and optimization. In your 5th semester, the focus is on innovation and entrepreneurship. You can also choose to study this semester abroad. In the 6th semester, you will have a mandatory internship in a company. The internship can be spent in Denmark or abroad. In the 7th and final semester, you must prepare a graduation project  in collaboration with a company.

Can I continue my studies?

A BEng in Manufacturing Engineering and Management is an independent, completed degree. So, after the 3½ years, you are a graduate engineer and can start your professional career.
If you want to immerse yourself further, you can continue your studies and take a MSc in Engineering - Operations Management, or a MSc in Engineering - Product Development and Innovation.

What can I become?

A degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management provides you with several career opportunities - both in Denmark and abroad. You will generally be able to work with project management, management, or as a specialist in, for example, planning, technology, optimisation of supply chains, quality or maintenance. As a Manufacturing and Management engineer, you can, for example, get a job as production manager, operations manager, logistics manager, project manager, quality employee or consultant.
