By bridging insights from social sciences, organizational theory, behavioral science, psychology and software engineering practice, we investigate how socio-technical factors, such as team dynamics, individual behaviors, organizational contexts, cultural influences, and shared norms and values impact the way software is developed and delivered, including its quality.
Our work asks fundamental questions: How do these social and human enablers influence software engineering practices? To what extent are they essential for advancing the field? Through this interdisciplinary lens, we aim to uncover actionable insights that enhance collaboration, improve development processes, and ultimately create more effective and sustainable software engineering practices.
