The self-study programme in quantum software and algorithms is designed to be completed in 6 to 10 weeks.
What you will learn
- You will understand the fundamental principles behind quantum technology.
- You will gain hands-on experience with quantum software, algorithms, and simulators.
- You will explore and develop quantum solutions.
How the course adds value to your organisation
- Equip your organisation for the quantum era by upskilling developers with practical, hands‑on experience that unlocks new technological possibilities before competitors catch on.
- Accelerate innovation and reduce technical bottlenecks as your team learns to prototype quantum‑inspired solutions that tackle complex challenges more efficiently.
- Help your organisation rapidly translate new knowledge into workplace impact, strengthening your long‑term competitiveness.
Your profile
The self-study programme in quantum software and algorithms is designed for software developers with a background in mathematics, physics, or engineering who wish to get an introduction to quantum computers, quantum software, and algorithms. It is not aimed at experts, but rather at curious professionals with an interest in technology and innovation.
If you are new to quantum computing, we recommend starting the two-day course from 8 to 9 April 2026 to build a solid foundation before beginning the self-study programme.
As a participant in the self-study programme you will complete readings on your own and have access to a wide array of interactive coding notebooks as well as step-by-step tutorials for running the notebooks and learning how to use quantum simulators and deploy quantum algorithms. Finally, you will also have access to periodic online Q&A sessions, where you can meet with quantum experts to enhance your learning.
The self-study programme starts in May 2026 and is designed to be completed in 6 to 10 weeks, depending on your available time commitment.
The teaching is conducted by researchers affiliated with the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at SDU.
Participation in the self-study programme is free.
