Bent Jensen, LINAK

Bent Jensen graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1976 and has since transformed the family business from a local machine workshop into a leading global company with 2,500 employees worldwide and subsidiaries in 30 countries.

LINAK develops electric linear actuators that ensure smooth movement in many types of tools, aids, and machines across a range of different sectors, from combine harvesters to hospital beds.

The company today has a turnover of over 4 billion Danish kroner.

Bent Jensen stepped down as CEO of LINAK in 2026 after 50 years at the helm of the company and its remarkable growth journey. Bent Jensen continues his work on the board, LINAK Holding, and all the many LINAK initiatives in the local area.

LINAK and Bent Jensen have continuously contributed to many local initiatives as well as to establishing several of SDU's research centres in Sønderborg, ensuring that we continue to educate highly qualified engineers in the future.
