Collaboration

The Department of Forensic Medicine is open to collaboration, partnerships and research networks.

The Department of Forensic Medicine conducts research and works broadly within forensic pathology, toxicology, forensic anthropology and imaging diagnostics.

Our expertise ranges from autopsies and determination of cause of death to the analysis of narcotics, pharmaceuticals and drugs of abuse, advanced post-mortem imaging, and anthropological and isotope-based investigations.

We collaborate continuously with both national and international research environments as well as private companies. Potential areas of collaboration include the development of new methods for detecting substances, the use of imaging diagnostics in death investigations, interdisciplinary projects related to violence and abuse, and anthropological studies of skeletal material.

The Department of Forensic Medicine welcomes researchers and developers from other disciplines to take part in interdisciplinary projects, where medicine, chemistry and anthropology can contribute to new knowledge and societal relevance.
