Krista Cowman

Krista works at the University of Lincoln where she is research leader for history in the Faculty of Media, Humanities and Technology. Her research has largely concentrated on women's engagement with politics, and includes 'Women in British Politics c. 1689-1979', 'Women of the Right Spirit: Paid Organisers in the Women's Social and Political Union' and a local study of women's politics on Merseyside from the mid nineteenth century to the end of the First World war. She is currently engaged in two reserach projects, one considering how post 1960s feminist movements used history in their campaigns and another concerned with British impressions of France during the First World War.
