About Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers

The title of Highly Cited Researcher is awarded annually to researchers who have had a significant and broad impact within their fields. Each selected researcher has authored multiple papers that rank in the top one per cent by citations for their field and year of publication in the Web of Science.

Web of Science is a global citation database, and this is the fourth consecutive year that Asbjørn Hróbjartsson has featured among the most cited researchers. Citations are categorised by publication year and research area.

Selection is based not only on citation counts. The list is further refined using other quantitative metrics, as well as qualitative analysis and expert judgment.

Congratulations to Asbjørn.
