The Danish Working Environment Research Fund
The Fund supports research into the working environment with the aim of preventing or limiting the exclusion of people from the labour market due to fatigue, industrial injuries and occupational diseases.
The Danish Working Environment Research Fund – supports research into occupational diseases.
The vision for the fund is:
- that it will ensure the production of new, relevant, practically applicable knowledge of the working environment and working environment projects by supporting research and development, and
- help to illustrate existing and future problems with the working environment in such a way as to enable legislators, authorities, management and labour, companies, consultants and suppliers to make decisions regarding changes in measures designed to improve the working environment on a more well-founded basis.
The award of grants is made on the basis of the Fund's research strategy. In its strategy for 2012-2013 the Fund attaches importance to, among other things, a number of prioritised research themes:
- Industrial injuries
- The mental working environment
- Muscular and skeletal difficulties
- Knowledge and action – measures for the working environment
