The 2025 Research Dissemination Award: Ane Qvortrup
The 2025 Research Dissemination Award goes to the head of the Centre for Upper Secondary and Vocational Education Research, Professor Ane Qvortrup.
Throughout her career, Ane Qvortrup has demonstrated a unique ability to communicate complex educational research in an engaging and accessible way with great impact. Her research spans the field of educational science and addresses, among other things, young people's well-being and academic performance. It is characterised by close collaboration with practitioners in the field.
She works tirelessly to communicate her own and her colleagues' research to the education sector through presentations, articles and collaborations. In 2024 alone, she gave 61 presentations and made over 300 media appearances, including radio, television and social media. A defining trait of Ane Qvortrup's work is the inclusion of colleagues - especially junior researchers - in her research and dissemination efforts.
Ane Qvortrup has a special ability to make advanced theories and methods understandable and relevant in many contexts. She succeeds in communicating with practitioners, decision-makers and the general public, thereby leaving a research-based imprint on academic practice in the education sector as well as on both political and public debate within the field of education.
