The M-Award

A big congratulations to our two civil engineering candidates from Structural Engineering who have just received the M Award. The two students are named Julie Lynge Madsen and Liv Obbekær, and they have explored a new approach to analyzing wind data, which can be used to estimate the lifespan of cables. In this case, cables on the Great Belt Bridge. Their thesis title is: ’A study on wind-induced vibrations on stay cable suspension bridges from monitoring data of the Great Belt Bridge’ with supervisor Luis David Avendaño-Valencia.

We, from the program, are very proud of our two candidates who on Thursday, April 13, received the award, which was presented by the M Foundation in collaboration with IDA Mechanical, The Mechanical Engineers' Initiative Award  is awarded once a year to one or more individuals who have made an outstanding contribution in the field of mechanical engineering.
