Global Sustainable Production conducts research on sustainability and regenerative challenges and opportunities in global supply chains.
The section examines how social, environmental and financial dimensions interact across supply chain networks. Focus is on the new insights that makes of rethink what we think we already know about supply chain management. We take pride in that our research is grounded in supply chain management and but to ensure novelty we integrate insights from innovation studies, engineering operations, organisational research, environmental and climate research, and occupational health and safety.
We believe in that research should be changing societies.
We don’t just sit in the ivory tower but prioritise applied research with real‑world impact while maintaining strong theoretical contributions.
Methodologically, the group emphasizes mixed‑methods designs, especially action‑oriented and intervention‑based approaches.
To ensure impact, our research is carried out in close collaboration with companies, public bodies and other external stakeholders. The section also contributes to changing the word through being active in supply chain management educations. Currently, we host the supply chain management program Global Management and Manufacturing and contributes to other engineering programs.
Our teaching is always anchored in a sustainability perspective.
