The Scandinavian Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SCAI 2026) brought together an international community of AI researchers and practitioners at SDU, with more than 100 participants registered from across Europe and beyond. The conference featured an outstanding programme of international keynote and plenary speakers, including leading researchers from USA, Germany, Finland, and Denmark.

The keynote programme explored major frontiers of artificial intelligence, including reliable and sustainable AI, mathematical foundations of trustworthy AI, energy-efficient and robust deep learning, LLM reasoning and planning, and quantum AI.

Plenary sessions broadened the programme to high-throughput drug discovery, AI in Optics, responsible AI and machine unlearning, and next-generation AI infrastructure and storage systems.

The conference also provided a platform for research exchange, networking and collaboration across disciplines, connecting fundamental AI research with emerging applications in healthcare, life sciences, responsible AI and high-performance computing. The conference proceedings have been submitted for publication in Springer’s Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series.
