Ravish Kumar Raj presented his latest research in neuromorphic and spintronic device engineering at the Device Research Conference (DRC) 2026, held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, from 20–24 June 2026.

His research was selected for an oral presentation, giving him the opportunity to present his findings to the international device physics community, engage in technical discussions, and exchange ideas with researchers working at the forefront of the field.

Advancing neuromorphic and spintronic technologies

The presented research introduces a multistate synaptic and neuronal system based on a 1×8-cell array that combines two key spintronic technologies: Magnetic Random-Access Memory (MRAM) and Spin-Torque Nano-Oscillators (STNOs).

Key innovation
An on-chip, field-line-driven write channel enables both individual and collective programming of the cells, providing a flexible approach to implementing multistate synaptic and neuronal behaviour.

This work contributes to the development of neuromorphic and spintronic hardware for next-generation computing and sensing applications, where devices are designed to perform increasingly complex functions with greater efficiency and functionality.
