PhD Courses based on the PhD programmes

As a PhD student, you must, in accordance with §7, subsection 2 of the Ministerial Order on PhD programmes, complete PhD courses or similar educational elements of a total scope equivalent to approx. 30 ECTS credits, regardless of the enrolment form. 1 ECTS credit is equivalent to a work effort of 25-30 hours. The courses must be approved by your principal supervisor and the PhD committee. We recommend that you complete the course part within the first 18-24 months of your programme.
If you are a student on the 4+4 scheme, special rules apply.
During your enrolment you must participate in the mandatory Responsible Conduct of Research course.
