In line with the research strategy of the Region of Southern Denmark at Hospital Sønderjylland and the Department of Regional Health Research at the University of Southern Denmark, the Research Unit seeks, above all, to ensure that its research benefits women and their families. Research is therefore a core activity alongside diagnosis, care, treatment and education.
To strengthen the links between these core activities and to benefit women and their families, research must be closely aligned with clinical practice and with the society of which we, as clinicians and researchers, are part. It must also form part of the ongoing development that the Danish healthcare system in general, and Hospital Sønderjylland and the Region of Southern Denmark in particular, is undergoing and striving to achieve.
