EI.A 2025 Shapes the Future of Energy Informatics Through Global Collaboration and Digital Innovation

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – December 3–6, 2025 – The Energy Informatics Academy Conference (EI.A 2025) brought together global academics, industry professionals, and innovators at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) for four days of knowledge exchange and collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of energy informatics.
Hosted by the Institute of Informatics and Computing in Energy (IICE), the conference featured 42 in-person presentations with an acceptance rate of 46%, reflecting the high quality and competitiveness of submissions. Participants from 54 countries explored cutting-edge research and practical solutions aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of energy systems worldwide.

The conference concluded with a site visit to UNITEN’s Smart Building Living Lab, where participants experienced real-world applications of IoT and cloud-based solutions for intelligent building management. This visit highlighted the practical impact of research presented during the conference and reinforced the importance of global collaboration in advancing sustainable campus digitalization.
EI.A 2025 was co-hosted with the Summer School in Energy Informatics (December 1–2), creating a unique opportunity for participants to combine hands-on learning with high-level academic and industry discussions. Together, these events showcased how digital technologies, IoT, and data-driven solutions are shaping the future of sustainable energy systems.
By fostering dialogue across continents and disciplines, EI.A 2025 reaffirmed its role as a leading platform for advancing research, innovation, and collaboration in energy informatics.
