About the Centre
We create exchange, collaboration and joint projects
The centre creates a framework for research collaboration between museums that house collections and archives on Danish industrial art production and SDU Design Studies.
The aim is research in both the historical conditions and challenges that have shaped Danish Design as it is known today, and the 'brand heritage' that today's companies build on in design and marketing.
The production history is also of current relevance in relation to the societal focus on green transition to sustainable production and consumption, including the economic and cultural significance of good craftsmanship, quality production and design that retains its value for generations.
