About the project
Remote and hybrid work have become a lasting part of working life across Europe. While digital collaboration creates new opportunities for flexibility and international cooperation, it also presents challenges for organisations and employees. Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) lack the tools and competencies needed to collaborate effectively in remote and virtual teams.
DIMODI (Dimensions of Distance in Remote, Virtual Collaborations) is an Erasmus+ project that aims to strengthen digital collaboration in organisations. The project examines how different forms of “distance” influence collaboration when employees work remotely. These include social-relational distance, cognitive distance, operational distance, and engagement distance.
Through research and collaboration with companies, the project will identify common challenges in remote work and develop practical tools to address them. These include a digital feedback tool and short learning programmes (micro-credentials) designed to support employees and organisations in developing effective remote collaboration practices.
