We envision a world where organizations, public as well as private, national and transnational commit to practices which enable all organizational members to have meaningful working lives, pave the way for creating positive relations inside and across organizations, and establish balances between the economic and social aims. Therefore, we strive to study performance management, work models and how organizations can recruit, attract, retain, and develop employees in a socially sustainable way that serves to support the well-being of the individual, the organization, and the broader society. Furthermore, we investigate how to design and create meaningful work environments and how to establish alternative forms of structuring the relationships in organizations featuring solidarity and participation. Finally, we seek to enable managers to lead and organize in responsible ways in order to create a work environment that has the capacity to add value to employees and all stakeholders of the organization. This is what we define as a human-centred approach to management.
