About the award

With a consistently constructive approach and delivering work of consistently high quality, SDU’s TAP staff are indispensable for the operation of the University and for the fulfilment of the University’s strategic objectives.

The TAP Award is given to an individual member or a group of technical-administrative staff who, in the past year, have made an extraordinary effort in the implementation or fulfilment of SDU’s strategic goals, or who have contributed to creating a positive working environment in their unit and at SDU as a whole.

Each faculty and the Central Administration as a whole can nominate a candidate from their own faculty/area or from another part of the University. In order to highlight collaboration across the entire University, you are encouraged to nominate people from other departments, faculties and areas than your own.

The Executive Board determines the recipient of each year’s award based on the nominations submitted, and the award is presented at SDU’s Annual Celebration.

In the nomination of candidates, emphasis may be placed on one or more of the following criteria:

  • Contribution to the daily operation of the University in a unique and remarkable way.
  • Special effort in the implementation or fulfilment of SDU’s strategic goals.
  • Contribution to creating a positive working environment in the unit and at SDU as a whole.
  • Solving tasks professionally, flexibly and efficiently at an extraordinarily high level with the user’s needs and wishes in mind.
  • Constant focus on performing tasks to the highest standard.
  • Cross-disciplinary and collaborative thinking in carrying out tasks.
  • Displaying a positive approach to new tasks and changed routines.
  • Making positive contributions to colleagues’ job satisfaction and well-being.
  • Making an exceptional contribution to SDU becoming a more sustainable workplace.
