Why Mechanical Engineering?
Mechanical systems play a key role in the development of everything from wind turbines and robots to hearing aids and surgical equipment. As a MSc in Mechanical Engineering, you help create solutions that strengthen efficiency, innovation, and the green transition in industry.
On the three-year Industrial Master, you combine studies and work. This gives you the opportunity to continuously apply your theoretical knowledge in practice and gain experience from a real engineering job while you study.
Course highlights
In the first year, you study full-time, learning to develop and optimise mechanical structures and systems with a focus on design, simulation, modelling, materials, and thermal energy systems. In the second and third years, you work at least 25 hours a week in a company – either one you find yourself or one SDU can help you find – while studying part-time.
