Religion has age-old roots, but the point of departure of the Religion programme is in the present. Religion plays a central part in a number of contexts - switch on your television or open a newspaper and you will be confronted with several issues of religion; refugee policies, Muhammed cartoons as well as political and ethical debates.
The programme introduces you to different religions and how they interact with the surrounding society and culture. The programme allows you to pursue the fundamental questions of religion. Why does it exist, and what is it really?
You may go in a variety of directions with a degree in Religion. You may teach or conduct research, but you may also decide to work with public administration, communication, at museums, as a consultant or with NGOs.
