How is Interactive Technology Engineering structured?
The Bachelor degree programme in Interactive Technology Engineering lasts 3 years, and each academic year is divided into two semesters. You learn to create the systems that connect the digital world with people. You combine technological engineering expertise with creative design and user insight, enabling you to develop solutions that work naturally and meaningfully for users in everyday life.
Project courses are included during your studies, so you learn to work as an engineer with conceiving, designing and implementing real-world systems and products. There is also the opportunity for exchange stays during your studies.
A typical week
The schedule varies from week to week, but you will typically have 15 hours of teaching and 12 hours of project work.
In addition, there is non-scheduled work such as self-study, assignments and project work. You plan this work yourself, and it can take place on campus or at home.

Choices and options
Part of the third year consists of electives, which allow you to specialise in specific subject areas. You can also choose to study for a semester at a university abroad.
Already at the start of your studies, you will be part of a project group, and you will work on projects each semester, which often focus on issues taken from companies. During the programme, you will have the opportunity to decide the focus of the projects increasingly independently.

Academic culture in Denmark
Danish academic culture is characterised by active participation in class, group work and critical thinking. Rather than simply accumulating and reproducing knowledge, you will be expected to analyse, question and discuss the course topics.
The relationship between lecturers and students is often rather informal; students and lecturers may find themselves joking together and engaging in vigorous debates during classes and lectures.
