Admission test
Before the test
Why take uniTEST?
The uniTEST is designed to assess your general academic abilities – not your subject knowledge. The test focuses on skills that are important for completing a university education, such as problem-solving, critical thinking and understanding written material.
The uniTEST measures your ability to:
- analyse information, argue and make decisions (critical thinking).
- solve problems based on numbers, graphs and general quantitative information (quantitative thinking).
- understand texts and the social and cultural contexts they reflect (linguistic thinking).
You are not tested on a specific curriculum and the information you need to answer the questions is provided in the test.
EU/EEA citizens
If you are an EU/EEA citizen, your application for admission is assessed either based on your grades or via uniTEST, depending on whether your qualifications can be converted to the Danish grading system.
This means:
- If you are an EU/EEA citizen and your grades can be converted to the Danish grading system, your application will be assessed on your GPA (Grade Point Average).
- If you are an EU/ EEA citizens and your grades cannot be converted to the Danish grading system, you will receive an invitation to the uniTEST and your application will be assessed based on the test results.
However, even though your grades can be converted, SDU recommends that you take the uniTEST regardless. If you take the uniTEST, you will be assessed based on both your grades and your test results, which improves your chances of admission.
Non-EU/ non-EEA citizens
All non-EU citizens will be invited to take the uniTEST because your grades cannot be converted to the Danish grading system. You will receive your invitation via SDU's self-service system sdu.dk/admission.
