Center for Energy Informatics was founded in 2013. It is an interdisciplinary research, development and innovation center that brings together software engineers, computer scientists, applied physicists, electrical engineers, and social scientists.
Focus is on the application of information technology to facilitate the transition towards a sustainable energy system by intelligent integration and optimization of the energy flexibility found in buildings and industrial processes due to fluctuating energy supply from renewable sources, such as wind and solar.
