The 2025 Study Environment Award: Emilie Zielke

The newly established Study Environment Award goes to Emilie Zielke, chairperson of the student organisation Show Up Get Hot in Esbjerg. The organisation brings students together around a new sporting activity, whether it’s floorball, basketball, football or something else. She has also organised a well-being week at SDU Esbjerg and is a regular participant at the campus council meetings in Esbjerg.

With her many initiatives, Emilie contributes to a vibrant and inclusive study environment in Esbjerg, where she creates social communities across studies with great commitment and creativity. She also strengthens the academic collaboration between student associations and fosters dialogue with campus management – all with a focus on community, well-being and ensuring the visibility of the students’ voices. Given the recent relocation of the Esbjerg campus, Emilie’s efforts have been crucial in strengthening a vibrant study environment.
