About the Centre

SDU is a leader in upper secondary school research. The Centre for Upper Secondary and Vocational Education Research aims to maintain and renew SDU’s position within upper secondary education research and teaching.

The starting point is that contemporary research in this field requires interdisciplinary collaboration and a strong dialogue between researchers and upper secondary schools.

The centre aims to strengthen collaborative relationships between different research areas within the university and the dialogue with the upper secondary education sector.

In addition to the extensive research in the field, SDU is home to a number of key educational activities: Theoretical Pedagogy for Upper Secondary Schools, Master in Upper Secondary School Pedagogy (didactics/management), Master's module in Didactic Development Management and specially organised continuing education courses.
