In 2019, the award was given to Ole Vorm, who is behind a number of companies in protein research and technology development.

He received his PhD in molecular biology in 1995, and two years later, Ole Vorm started his first company Protana, which was a spin-off of his research at SDU.

This interdisciplinary collaboration between university research, business research and industry has been the very foundation of entrepreneur Ole Vorm, and he has managed to establish advanced and highly specialised companies that retain skilled labour in Odense and Funen.

Today, Ole Vorm is CEO of Evosep, which develops instruments that can strengthen patient treatment with faster and more accurate diagnoses and personalised medication.
