Abass Alavi Meetings

Since January 2011, Prof. Abass Alavi regularly visited the Dept. of Nuclear Medicine in connection with a series of interdisciplinary research meetings at the OUH PET Centre, where everything is up for debate in order to establish new and promising research in molecular imaging. Professor Alavi is probably the greatest living name in nuclear medicine, the discipline he has headed for almost a generation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, i.e. the place where SPECT, PET and the FDG tracer (in collaboration with Brookhaven National Laboratory) was born.
